Achari Gobi Chicken

Achar Gobi Ghost:

In our Culture is common is to cook food with Mix 2 or 3 things. Today we have mixed 3 things 1 is Chicken 2 is Gobi and 3 is Achari Masala. It is more Delicious than simple gobi chicken.

 


Ingredients:

  • 1 KG Boneless Chicken cut into Normal Size
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 cup onion finely diced
  • 1 Table Spoon Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Ginger Paste
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Table Spoon Salt
  • 5-6 Whole Green Chilies
  • cups Cauliflower Florets
  • 2-inch piece of ginger like matchsticks
  • 1/2 cup Scallions, green parts only
  • 1/3 cup chopped cilantro
  • freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 Table Spoon Black Seed (Kalonji)
  • 1/2 Table Spoon fenugreek seeds (Methi Dana)


Lets Cook it:

  1. Heat a Cooker/Pan and add Cup of oil (about 1/4 cup).

  2. Add the cumin seeds to the Cooker/pan and when they sizzle add the diced onions.

  3. Once the edges of the onion start to turn golden brown then add the ginger and garlic paste.

  4. Stir and then add all the dry spices and salt.

  5. Saute for a minute and then add the pieces of chicken.

  6. Keep cooking the chicken on medium-high heat, stirring to ensure that the color changes and the chicken starts to look cooked.

  7. Now add the Black-seeds (Kalonji) and fenugreek seeds (Methi Dana).

  8. Add the green chilies and a cup of water to the Cooker/pan.

  9. Bring to a boil and then simmer with a lid on for about 25 minutes.

  10. The chicken should be cooked through but not quite tender.

  11. Gently mix in your cauliflower florets, cover, and cook for another 10-12 minutes or until they just fork-tender.

  12. Taste, adjust seasoning.

  13. Now add the remaining ingredients-the scallions, ginger, cilantro, a few grinds of pepper, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

  14. Turn the Fire off and let sit for a few minutes before serving with some Rooti but I prefer Rooti with Desi Ghee. Enjoy IT......!
